How to Manage Inbound Calendar Invites received in Sedna
Sedna has defined a workflow that reads your inbound email and applies the Category Tag - “Calendar Invite” to it.
To ensure you don’t miss any calendar invites we will create a “Live Search” that looks for this Tag and lets you know when you have a new invite.
When you receive a new invitation you should go to your MS Teams calendar and accept/deny the invitation.
Ideal workflow for inbound mail to Sedna:
- You receive a calendar invite
- Sedna notifies you that you have received a calendar invite
- You can then navigate to your Teams calendar and accept the invite
This Live Search will also capture updates to calendar invites so you can be sure you haven’t missed any.
How to get notified of new calendar invites in Microsoft Teams
The MS Teams calendar can notify you of an upcoming calendar invite in your “Activity Bar”, “a desktop notification” and/or a Banner in Teams.
To do this, ensure you have the following settings enabled in your MS Teams Calendar:
- Enable MS teams to send desktop notifications
- “New invites, updates and cancellations sent to me” = “Show in Activity and Banner”
- “When people forward meetings I’ve organised” = “Show in Activity and Banner”
