“Snippets” is a powerful new feature which allows SEDNA users to save, insert and reuse blocks of text into a Message or Topic. It's great for anyone who frequently sends the same piece of content over and over, whether it might be a pricing, port calls, or disclaimer — you no longer have to re-write that information for each message. With Snippets you can complete tasks faster, save time composing messages and ensure consistency of organizational standards.
How it works:
When composing a Message or Topic, simply click on the "Snippet" button, chose the information you wish to add and the text will instantly be inserted. Snippets can be private (only you have access), shared with your team, or shared across your entire organization. This allows standardized, brand-aligned blocks of text to be used consistently across your teams such as a personalized set of signatures you can apply to messages when working across multiple teams.
Add operational data:
Inserting Operational Data is done in exactly the same manner as Snippets. Once a Job Reference has been applied to a message and you click Snippets, the drop down menu will contain an Operational Data icon and the operational content associated. Selecting an element from this menu will insert it at the cursor just as with a Snippet.
More ways to save time:
Creating Snippets is simple and easy. Begin by copying the content you wish to use as a Snippet and paste into a new email. When you select that text, you will be presented with a “Create” button. Clicking this button then lets you name the Snippet and specify whether it should be private, or shared with your team/organization.
