To compose a new message in SEDNA, click on the "+ Create" () icon in the top left of the Message List. This will bring up the Compose view.
Composer
Within the Compose view, you will see a set of options that allow you to customize the body of your message:
- Bold information
- Italicize content
- Underline text
- Strikethrough words
- Paragraph Format Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3, Heading 4, Plain Text
- Font Size can adjust from 9 to 96 points
- Font Family Helvetica, Courier, Georgia, Times New Roman, Verdana
- Colours Change the font colour or background colour of the message text
- Remove Formatting from selected text
- Copy Formatting from selected text to apply to other text
- Change Case Selected text becomes all upper or all lower case
- Align left, centre, right or justify for equal space between left and right edges
- Ordered List create a numbered list
- Unordered List create a bulleted list
- Insert Table insert with grid up to 10 x 10
- Insert Link insert a URL into a message
- Horizontal Line to insert a horizontal line into a message
- Code View HTML code
- Plan Text Mode to create a message in plain text without any formatting applied
After completing the subject line, an icon appears on the left of the screen in the Compose area with "Snippet," "Template" or "Upload Email". These functions are available whether you are composing a message, editing an existing draft, replying or forwarding and will insert the template content at the cursor.
Compose Shortcuts
Composing a message offers the below shortcut keys:
- Bold - Command/Control + B
- Italics - Command/Control + I
- Underline - Command/Control + U
- Strikethrough - Command/Control + S
- Insert Link - Command/Control + K
- Undo - Command/Control + Z
- Redo - Shift Command/Shift Control + Z
