Many of the emails we exchange on a daily basis include documents that are vital to the jobs that we do. We understand that having clarity about these documents (their type, size, and name) helps our users complete task with greater speed and efficiency. In an effort to promote a clarity about the documents contained within our users' messages, we've made some changes to how attached documents are displayed.
Previously, attachments were contained within a side panel next to a message. This often required users to first navigate to the side panel to glean information about any attachments on the message.
In the next few days we'll introduced a new attachments footer which displays all files associated with an email without requiring any additional clicks. Now when you navigate to a message with attachments you can immediately see how many attachments are included on the email as well as the file name, type and size.
In addition to reading messages, we’ve also moved attachment to the footer of the compose window. From the footer users can upload files, drag and drop files, or add files from SEDNA using the full power of search.
