The SEDNA Platform API allows you to connect with various business systems to send and receive contextual information related to messages you receive. Using this API, we can build and integrate third-party platforms to SEDNA as well as provide the governance and standards to securely allow third-party platforms and our customers to self-help and build integrations into SEDNA themselves.
One of the ways we safeguard our platform is to use API Keys. An API Key is a unique identifier used to authenticate a client. At SEDNA, we create a global API Key for all customers to set up API integrations with our platform to enable secure interaction between our technology and customer or partner technology.
Often, these business systems are connected to SEDNA using API keys to authenticate the connection to SEDNA and permit the flow of information. Common examples of this may be voyage management systems, trading systems, ERPs and CRMs.
