This article will help you use the Sedna Calendar to view and manage your events. It also explains how to connect your Microsoft Outlook calendar, create new meetings, and RSVP to invitations. This is the first iteration of the Sedna Calendar, further functionality to follow!
What you need in order to use Sedna Calendar
- A solo inbox
- A Microsoft Outlook (Microsoft 365) account with calendar access
- Sedna credentials
- Internet connection
- Access to the standalone Sedna Calendar app: https://calendar.sednanetwork.com
Connecting Sedna Calendar
Before using Sedna Calendar a Microsoft Admin in your organisation will need to enable it. If you are unable to access Sedna Calendar please contact your Microsoft Admin to ensure calendar has been enabled for your organisation.

- Open Sedna Calendar: https://calendar.sednanetwork.com

Log in using your Sedna Credentials
- Click on the ‘Continue with Microsoft’ button
- Depending on how your organisation is set up, you may need to authorise access though a pop up or you will be prompted to set up Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) in order to authorise access to your Microsoft Outlook calendar through the pop-up (this will only occur the first time you connect to calendar)
- Once connected, your Outlook events will begin syncing into Sedna Calendar
After completing these steps, you’ll be able to:
- Manage your Microsoft Outlook calendar from inside Sedna
- Create events with Teams links and invite contacts sent to your personal email address
- Quickly RSVP to meetings without switching apps
- View your schedule in multiple layouts
- Access your calendar from both desktop and mobile browsers using your Sedna credentials
View Your Calendar
Sedna Calendar provides multiple viewing modes:
- Day View – detailed daily schedule
- Week View – overview of the week
- Month View – broader planning view
Click on any event to view its full details and double click to open the event.
Create a New Calendar Event
- Desktop:
- Click the Create button or double click on the calendar itself Mobile
- Click on the + in the lower right hand corner
- Enter event details:
- Title
- Date and time
- Location
- Attendees (click on email address to add attendees)
- (Optional) Add a Microsoft Teams meeting link
- Click Save.
- The event will be created in your Microsoft calendar, and invitations will be sent automatically.
Timezone Management
When scheduling an event with an attendee who is based in a different timezone to you:
- Use the Timezone Toggle to enable

Click into the Timezone block and type the attendees timezone or location

This will bring up a list of timezones and you can choose the correct one
- The attendee will receive the invitation adapted to their timezone.
All Day and Recurring Events
To schedule an All Day event use the toggle to enable and choose the number of days:
To schedule recurring events use the Repeats toggle to enable and choose your repeat schedule:
RSVP to Meeting Invitations in Sedna
- Meeting invitations appear as Scan Cards inside Sedna.
- Click Accept, Tentative, or Decline in the scan card
- Your response is immediately sent to the meeting organiser
- Your Outlook calendar will update automatically.
Add Meeting Invitations Sent to Shared Mailbox

Download the invitation
- Drag the downloaded .ics file into your Sedna Calendar
- The event will now be shown in your Sedna Calendar
Show Declined Events
If the Microsoft account holder has "show declined events" turned off in their settings, this will remove the meeting from the calendar entirely. In order to ensure you are still able to access declined events users need to have the following check box checked in their Outlook account:
- Navigate to settings by clicking in the upper right hand corner:
2. Ensure “Save Declined Events” is ticked
Edit or Delete Events
- Open an event in Sedna Calendar.
- Choose Edit to modify details.
- Choose Delete to remove the event from your Microsoft calendar.
Note: You can only edit or delete events you created. Events organised by others are view-only (RSVP only).
How to Use Sedna Calendar on Mobile
- Log into https://calendar.sednanetwork.com on a your mobile browser
- Connect to the calendar as per instructions
- Keep browser tab open to access or add Sedna Calendar as an app to your home screen

To add to home screen on Apple device:

Click this button on the browser
- Choose “Add to Home Screen”

An icon will be added to your home screen allowing easy access to Sedna Calendar

To add to home screen on Android device:
- Click the three buttons in the top right corner on the browser
- Choose “Add to Home Screen”
- Choose “Install”
