What does it mean to be Verified by Sedna?
Our Verified by Sedna feature adds an enhanced layer of security across your communications by validating that the sender and contents of a message are authentic and unaltered.
Think of Verified by Sedna as a built-in email detective. Through our rigorous checks and authentication technology, we can confirm whether the message you have received from an organisation or individual is from a legitimate source.
On top of measures like verified address books, cloud security, multi-factor authentication and shared inboxes for cross-company transparency and collaboration, the Verified by Sedna feature reduces the risk of cybersecurity attacks, as well as the significant time and money spent on managing them.
The Verified by Sedna feature also helps to bolster message deliverability and integrity - giving you peace of mind that its contents are genuine and have not been tampered with in transit.
How It Works
- A digital Verified by Sedna signature is applied to all messages sent from within our system
- Our authentication technology automatically scans for and verifies this signature on incoming messages to ensure they come from a legitimate source and have not been altered
- If the signature is determined to be authentic, it will either be indicated by a green badge and your company logo, or the text “Verified by Sedna” if a company logo has not been provided. If a message is not verified, the message will be marked with “Not Verified by Sedna”
Why the Verified by Sedna feature is important
Email authentication is recommended for anyone who wants to ensure the security and privacy of their communications, especially when you are sending or receiving sensitive information and documents.
While many imposter emails are obvious, others can fly under the radar through indiscernible tactics (like switching a single letter in an email address). By choosing to use a secure platform for your communications - like Sedna - you can have peace of mind that your emails are secure and protected against cyber threats.

How to ensure your messages are marked as Verified by Sedna
Sedna’s customers can now set up their company logo to appear beside the Verified by Sedna badge across messages, as seen in the visual above. This clear brand indicator adds an important element of trust to your email communications.
The container has a maximum width of 180 pixels and 24 pixels of height (the logo itself doesn't need to take the entirety of the container). We recommend landscape-type typographic logos for best readability. Sedna will display the company's name in a text format if a logo is not provided.
Please reach out to your Sedna Customer Success Manager or Customer Support to implement your company’s logo across your messages.
