What?
Display Settings in Stream allow you to personalise how messages appear in your inbox. You can adjust message tile layouts, enable vibrant tags and customise composition fields for a more efficient workflow.
Why?
Tailoring Display Settings helps improve readability, navigation, and message organisation. By optimising these settings, you can quickly scan messages, highlight key information and streamline your communication.
How?
1. Access Display Settings
- Click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner of Sedna.
- Select Settings from the menu.
- Click Display Settings on the left panel.
2. Adjust Appearance Preferences
- Enable Vibrant Tags to make tags more distinguishable.
- Enable Classic Quick Filters in Live Searches to filter messages by Inbox, Archive, Sent, and more.
- Choose whether to show a jump button for easier navigation through the message list.
3. Customise Message Tiles
- Display Message Excerpt to show part of the message under the subject line.
- Bold Subject instead of Sender for improved emphasis.
- Display Job Tag and Secondary Icons to view job-related metadata at a glance.
- Show Sender Initials to help quickly identify message senders.
4. Modify Composition Fields
- Keep To: and Cc: fields visible at all times for clarity.
- Enable Bcc: field visibility if required.
- Choose whether to disable auto-conversion of dashes to bullets when composing messages.
5. Save Changes
- Click Save at the bottom of the settings page to apply your customisations.
Best Practices
- Enable Vibrant Tags for better visual distinction between different message categories.
- Show Job Tags and Secondary Icons if you work with multiple jobs and need quick identification.
- Keep Message Excerpts Visible for faster scanning without opening messages.
- Keep Cc or Bcc toggled on if you frequently use these fields, so you donβt have to click drop-downs in the composer each time.
