Learn to clear the noise and focus on the emails that actually need your attention
▶️ Watch: Triage in Sedna
What Is Triage in Sedna?
Triage is the first pillar of Sedna, and it’s the foundation of everything you’ll do in Stream.
Borrowed from emergency rooms, the concept of triage means quickly assessing what’s urgent, important, or safe to ignore. Your job isn’t to treat every “patient” (message), it’s to decide whether action is needed, and move on.
Ask Yourself:
- Is this email for me?
- Do I need to do something about it?
If the answer is no, archive it.
What Does Archiving Do?
In Stream, archiving removes a message from your inbox - but keeps it stored and searchable for later. You’re not deleting anything. You’re simply clearing space to focus on what matters.
Picture your inbox like a desk. Archiving is putting a piece of paper into a drawer. It’s still there, but it’s not cluttering your workspace.
You can’t delete messages in Stream (unless you're an admin) so there’s no risk. Archive freely!
What Is Inbox Zero (Sedna Style)?
Inbox Zero in Sedna doesn’t mean you’ve actioned everything. It just means everything’s been triaged.
If something’s in your inbox:
- It’s new and hasn’t been triaged
- Or it needs follow-up from you
That’s it! Clean inbox, clear mind.
