How to re-order apps in your sidebar

Quickly access your most-used Connected Apps by re-ordering or pinning them in the Sedna sidebar. Customise your workspace to suit your workflow.

When to Use This Feature

Use this feature when you have multiple Connected Apps and want quicker access to the ones you use most frequently. Pinned apps appear in the sidebar for one-click access, while re-ordering lets you prioritise your app layout.

Step-by-Step Instructions

📌 Pin an App for Quick Access

1. Open the Apps Context Panel by clicking the layered icon on the left sidebar.
2. Find the app you want to pin.
3. Click the pin icon next to the app name.
4. The app will now appear in the sidebar as a shortcut icon.

To unpin an app, simply click the pin icon again.

🔃 Re-order Apps in the Context Panel

1. Hover over the app you want to move.
2. Click and hold the drag handle (⋮⋮) next to the pin icon.
3. Drag the app up or down to your preferred position in the list.
4. Release to drop it in place.

The new order will also be reflected in your Sedna mobile app.

Troubleshooting & Common Questions

Q: Why don’t I see the pin icon?

A: Ensure you have access to the latest version of Sedna. If the icon is still missing, refresh your browser or check with your administrator.

Q: Does pinning an app affect other users?

A: No. Pinning and re-ordering apps is a personal setting and only affects your view.

Best Practices & Tips

• Pin your top 3 apps to reduce clicks and speed up daily tasks.
• Re-order apps based on workflow priority (e.g. AI Email Assist at the top if used frequently).
• Keep less-used apps unpinned but available in the panel.
