When experiencing unusual behaviour in SEDNA (such as a new update not appearing when expected), troubleshooting your browser can often resolve the issue.
Reload Browser Cache
If your browser's cache is out-of-date with the latest SEDNA update, you can reload the browser's cache by using the below key commands for different browsers:
Google Chrome
Windows: Ctrl+F5
Mac: Cmd+Shift+R
Firefox
Windows: Ctrl+F5
Mac: Cmd+Shift+R
Safari
Mac: Cmd+Opt+R
Clear Browser Cache
Browser issues can also be resolved by deleting cookies & cache, disabling extensions, and/or testing in a private browser or incognito mode. See below for detailed steps using our supported browsers.
Chrome
Delete cookies and cache
For Windows
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right of the screen, click More .
- Click More tools Clear browsing data.
- At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
- Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
- Click Clear data.
For MacOS
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top left of the screen, click on Chrome.
- On the drop-down menu, click on Clear Browsing Data.

Disable browser extensions/plugins
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More More tools Extensions.
- Make your changes:
- Turn on/off: Turn the extension on or off.
- Allow incognito: On the extension, click Details. Turn on Allow in incognito.
- Fix corruptions: Find a corrupted extension and click Repair. Confirm by clicking Repair extension.
- Allow site access: On the extension, click Details. Next to “Allow this extension to read and change all your data on websites you visit,” change the extension’s site access to On click, On specific sites, or On all sites.
Private browsing mode or Incognito Mode for Chrome
Using Incognito mode for Chrome would normally disable any extensions you have installed, which allows us to isolate them as causing an issue.
1. Open Chrome browser, click File, then choose New Incognito Window.

Firefox
Clear all cookies, site data and cache

Safari
Delete cookies and cache
- On your Mac, open Safari.
- At the top left of the screen, click the Safari menu.
- Choose Clear History.
- Click the drop down menu to choose All History.
- Click Clear History (Note: this may take a few minutes)
Disable Extensions
- On your Mac, open Safari.
- At the top left of the screen, click the Safari menu.
- Select Safari Extensions.
- Uncheck all boxes.
Private Window
- On your Mac, open Safari.
- At the top left of the screen, click File.
- Select New Private Window.
- Alternatively, press COMMAND + SHFT + N on your keyboard.
Other Options
If reloading or clearing your cache does not resolve the issue:
