SEDNA is cloud-based, Software as a Service (SaaS), delivering scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency. Customers have the option of being hosted in our primary availability regions in North America, Singapore, or Ireland. Our Platinum service also gives customers the option of being hosted on a completely private instance in any of our availability regions.
SEDNA is a cloud-based platform built on state-of-the-art technologies. We partner with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provide Infrastructure as a Service and with SendGrid for email delivery. Message delivery is critical to our customers, and we ensure messages are delivered reliably. To meet enterprise compliance needs, we deliver all inter-team email through corporate email servers.
SEDNA is built using an Active-Active failover design that uses Elastic Load Balancing and Auto Scaling across multiple availability zones to meet demand. Our data-stores and search indices are replicated for high availability.
For archive and recovery purposes, SEDNA retains an original copy of each message in addition to the online version. This archived copy is used by validation and verification processes to ensure database and search index contents are correct, and for compliance exports.
We isolate our services using Virtual Private Clouds for each environment. Individual services are restricted using security groups that control ingress to and egress from each service instance. Load Balancers further isolate application instances from direct user access.
Services, dependencies, and infrastructure are actively monitored both from individual service instances and from external monitoring instances. Each region is monitored by itself and two other regions to ensure systems remain available.
