Pop out composer

The popout composer feature allows you to compose a message, or issue a reply, while viewing other messages. You are able to open multiple messages outside of your main browser window.

All users have access to this feature and all standard features of the composer will be available in the pop out window.

How to create a pop out window

While editing a message, please the button on top of the composer menu:

The new window will not show the sidebar or the web browser URL.

How to close, or pop-in, a window

Click on the pop-in button to close the window:

Auto-save

When you close the window, your email is auto-saved as a draft so you can continue working on the message at a later time. While the message is auto-saved, you’ll see a message ‘Draft saved’. The message will auto save after 3 seconds. There is no save button you need to click in order to save a message.

Pop out preferences

The composer will remember the previous state in which you composed a message i.e. if you ‘popped out’ the last message, new messages will automatically ‘pop out’ until you pop one back in and vice versa.
