There are three main types of configuration which can be done for Pulse. We detail each one in this article.
Configure Shared Inboxes
Our Customer Success team works with the Pulse customer, who lets us know which Shared Inboxes they would like to feed data into Pulse.
Configure Deduplication
Often information about a tonnage or cargo arrives in the inbox multiple times from different senders. Pulse will merge each unique opportunity into one view so it is easy to find and compare with others. It can also be expanded with one click to reveal each source email linked to that tonnage or cargo.
There are multiple ways to refer to the same criteria sometimes, so Pulse takes that into consideration when deduplicating data. For example, Pulse has logic which understands that "grain" and "grain in bulk" are the same thing.
However, even with our database of “synonyms” which is being built up over time, we recognise that our logic may be too detailed for some users.
Therefore, Pulse has configuration settings to help improve deduplication. Please speak to your Project Implementation team or Customer Success Manager to discuss configuration options.
Configure Tagging
In addition to Pulse’s main function of consolidating opportunities, customers can elect to have Pulse automatically add on emails in Stream. These tags indicate whether they contain tonnage or cargoes.
If you would like this set up or further configured, please speak to your Project Implementation team or Customer Success Manager.
