Sedna's pre-fixture system automatically parses incoming emails to extract key data, such as tonnage and cargo details. When an email isn't fully parsed, records are missing, a vessel position wasn't extracted, or an email wasn't categorised correctly — you can report it directly from the email screen. Reports go straight to our team with the context needed to investigate without asking you for more information.
When the report option appears
The report option is only available after parsing is complete for that email. If parsing is still in progress, you'll see a loading indicator. Once results have come through, the option activates.
What's sent automatically with your report
You don't need to gather anything manually. Every report includes:
- The Message ID of the source email
- All successfully parsed tonnage records (ship, position, open date)
- All successfully parsed cargo records (load/discharge position, laycan date)
This gives the support team an immediate picture of what was captured versus what was missed.
How to submit a report
-
To report missing data across the whole email, click Report missing results in the Pulse Parser sidebar.
-
In the text field, describe what's missing. For example: "Ship position was not extracted" or "Email was not categorised as Market Tonnage."
-
To report an error on a specific entry, click the three-dot menu at the bottom of the opportunity entry and select Report issue.
- Submit. Your report is sent to the support team immediately.
FAQ
Why can't I see the report button? Parsing is still in progress. Wait for the loading indicator to clear, the option will appear once results are available.
Can I report data that was parsed incorrectly, not just missing? Yes. Use Report issue from the three-dot menu for errors on specific entries. Use Report missing results for broader gaps where data wasn't captured at all.
What happens after I submit? The support team reviews the Message ID and parsed records, identifies the gap, and works to correct it.
