How to Use the Print PDF App

This article will help you convert any email thread into a PDF document using the Print PDF app.

Prerequisites

• The Print PDF app is available in the side panel and in Message Read mode only.

• Ensure the app is installed and enabled in your inbox.

Steps to Generate a PDF

1. Open the email you want to convert.

2. From the side panel or Message Read mode, click the Print PDF app.

3. Select your desired options, Include or exclude :

   • subject

   • From

   • to

   • CC

   • BCC

   • attachments

   • Choose to render the entire thread or only the latest message

1. Click Generate PDF to start the process.

2. Remain in the app until you are notified of the outcome.

Successful Conversion

• Once the PDF is ready, a download button will appear in the panel.

• Click the button to download the file directly to your device’s local storage.

Failed Conversion

• If the PDF cannot be rendered, the app will display a relevant error message with next steps.

Large Threads or Complex Emails

For longer threads or emails containing many HTML elements (e.g., tables, images, emojis):

• Rendering may take more time.

• In such cases, the app will automatically send a downloadable PDF link to your default team inbox.

• You will be notified within the app when this happens, and you can safely leave the app while the PDF is being processed in the background.

Automated Email Notification

When the PDF is ready, you will receive an email in your default team inbox that includes a direct link:

Clicking the link will download the PDF document to your device’s local storage.
